Gloryland Preschool

Gloryland Preschool is a ministry of Lord of Glory Lutheran Church.  The preschool doors opened in 2001 to a small group of about 20 students and has blossomed to over 1oo children, 12 teachers, and 1 full time director.  We are fully licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Child and Family Services and we meet all Lake County Health Department and State Fire Marshall regulations.

Our preschool brings children in contact with the love of Jesus through songs, prayers, and Bible stories.  It is impressed upon the hearts of our preschoolers every day that they are a loved child of God.  We use curriculum with our weekly themes to incorporate letter and number recognition as well as our monthly shapes and colors.

Gloryland’s program runs from September to May and throughout the year your child will experience short Chapel devotions twice a month with Pastor Brian, language activities, dramatic play, science, music and movement, art,  and much more.  With a full size gym and an outdoor play yard our preschoolers have different options for movement times while they are here.

Teachers conference is once in the Fall and again in the Spring to update parents on their child’s development.  We also offer parent education programs based on current needs or requests.

Different social activities are offered throughout the year.  Some are during the school day and some are weekend activities.  We have seen parents network through our preschool to create supportive friendships that will only enhance their child’s time here at Gloryland.
