Supporting our Food Pantry
Since Lord of Glory’s food pantry was created over 10 years ago, it has only increased in its ability to bring food and the love of God to the surrounding community. Through our volunteers and congregational donations, both monetary and of non-perishable goods, we have been able to help those in need within our community and within the Lord of Glory family.
Our Food Pantry is currently operated primarily by volunteers, and is open to serve clients on…
- Tuesdays 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Thursdays 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
- Saturdays 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Our food pantry is an affiliated agency of the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Through our affiliation we are able to obtain food for pennies on the dollar. This has allowed us to provide services to a greater number of clients.
In addition to providing non-perishable food and frozen meat on an ongoing basis, the food pantry also provides special holiday meal boxes to clients and client families for the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter holidays.
If you would like more information, or would like to volunteer to help in this ministry, please contact us by email or at (847) 548-5673. You can also fill in the below form to send an email to an individual that will be able to assist you with your questions.
